The A7 Motorway will connect the regions of Muntenia and Moldova, running along a route between Ploiești and Siret. With a total length of 438 km, this high-speed road aims to reduce travel time and improve traffic safety.
Section 3 Buzău–Pietroasele spans 14 km and includes a railway overpass with 31 spans, 28 of which are made of prestressed precast concrete elements.
The client required a solution using precast beams and culvert elements to enable the rapid construction of overpasses and efficient execution of underpasses beneath the carriageway.
To eliminate the need for slab installation and reduce execution time, Ferrobeton provided a solution with beams featuring 2.0-meter-wide wings.
Ferrobeton contributed to the construction of this segment by supplying 390 precast beams for the overpass and 2,000 culvert elements for the underpasses.
